Background

  • As a Rotating Equipment Maintenance Specialist, you are responsible for planning and executing maintenance routines on major rotating equipment, ensuring safe, reliability, efficiency operation and maintenance of critical rotating machinery - such as compressors, turbines and gear boxes on offshore production assets.
  • Your role will execute preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance on rotating equipment (compressors, gas turbines, pumps, gearboxes, couplings, mechanical seals and bearings) to ensure the highest level of safety and reliability is achieved.
  • Collaborating closely with other departments and contractors to ensure major repairs, overhauls, equipment change-outs and commissioning activities are carried out efficiently and safely.

  • You drive continuous improvement of Rotating Equipment maintenance and reliability.
  • You Participate in failure analysis and troubleshooting to diagnose and promptly resolve equipment issues.
  • You contribute to the definition of maintenance programs and schedules for all rotating equipment.
  • You collaborate with other engineers and departments to optimize Maintenance routines on major equipment
  • You ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations and policies.
  • You participate in the strategies for execution of equipment upgrades, replacements, and new installations.
  • You provide support and guidance to operations and maintenance teams.
  • You stay updated on the latest advancements in rotating equipment technology and best practices in the industry.
  • You participate in the process of new equipment and new technologies qualification to ensure their suitability for  Maintenance.

Troubleshooting

Pre-hire Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in the maintenance and management of rotating equipment in the Oil & Gas industry.
  • Strong knowledge of rotating machinery, including compressors, turbines, and pumps.
  • Planning and coordinating maintenance routines, minor shutdowns, and major overhauls (e.g., compressor bundle pulls, turbine inspections / replacements and etc).
  • Proven ability to lead major work scopes from the planning cycle to close out.
  • Interfacing with vendors/OEMs for field service, technical bulletins, updates, and warranty claims; supervise contractors offshore.
  • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to rotating equipment.
  • Knowledge of predictive maintenance technologies and practices.
  • Familiarity with IFS or other enterprise asset management systems (CMMS).
  • Basic Knowledge and experience around Instrumentation, Electrical and controls.
  • Identifing opportunities to optimize PMs, reduce nonproductive time, and improve mean time between failures (MTBF).
  • Managing critical spares, preservation, and storage standards; validating material condition and shelf-life.
  • Maintaining special tooling (e.g., torque tools, laser alignment kits, dial indicators, balancing equipment).
  • Diagnosing vibration, temperature, noise, and performance anomalies using condition monitoring tools and root-cause methodologies (RCFA, 5-Whys, Fishbone)"
