Purpose
- The purpose of this role is to provide tax accounts analysis for the Group's consolidated balance sheet, ensuring accurate allocation and justification of tax balances.
Responsibilities
- Provide tax accounts analysis on a quarterly and annual basis for the Group Consolidated Balance Sheet report
- Contribute to Tax analysis of consolidated balance sheet at sub-consolidation level, under different sets of reporting;
- Ensure the proper allocation and justification of the tax balances;
- Prepare yearly disclosures;
- Ad hoc requests from the tax department and local accountant;
- Prepare CIT tax provisions schedules and tax reports
- Prepare and perform the journals for the quarterly review of the tax accounts in various jurisdictions;
- Allocation / reconciliation of the CIT provision with the Tax payment;
- Liaise with local teams in countries and accountants in charge of preparing statutory financial statements;
- Participate to the annual tax reporting
- Participation of the final company’s global tax provision, effective tax rate and deferred tax for tax provisioning purposes in compliance with the local GAAP, IFRS and Directional.
- Be involved in the structuration of the Tax accounting team for Close and Accounting in the context of the implementation of the GloBE reporting
- Prepare VAT/WHT returns, payments and any other requested direct-tax and indirect-tax return
- Manage the VAT/WHT tax returns and tax payments (and other taxes);
- Perform the accounting journals for tax return and allocation of tax payments;
- Reconcile the local tax balances with the Tax Consultant or group tax expert;
- Support Group tax department in the preparation of VAT return performed by external provider;
- Liaise with local teams in countries
Education
- A University degree in Economics (preferably finance, accounting);
Experience
- 3+ yearsâ experience in a related environment or an audit firm (Big 4 or other).
- Solid accounting and IFRS knowledge: Knowledge of IAS 12 (Income taxes) and GloBe
- Understanding of Swiss and international taxes (direct taxes, withholding taxes, stamp duty, VAT)
- IT tools (Microsoft Office: Excel, Word, and Powerpoint), ERP
- Internal control framework
- Statutory accounting, tax requirements, audit process
- Fluent in English
- Analytical skills and critical thinking
