ROLE PURPOSE
As a Trade & Project Finance Analyst, your mission is to navigate and manage the intricate world of commercial financial instruments and project finance details. You will ensure seamless trade finance operations, contribute to meticulously managing a broad portfolio of project finance instruments and ensure a timely and accurate reporting of relevant information. This includes meeting requirements in servicing debt portfolio (interest payment, loan repayment, reporting and certificates), accurate recording of credit facilities and trade finance instruments into relevant systems, liaising with relevant financial institutions, ensuring compliance with covenants, and participating in the cash repatriation process. Through meticulous operations, you will contribute to the organization’s success and ensure its financial health. Your working environment will be very international with stakeholders across Europe, but also Americas and Asia.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Trade Finance
- Support in relation to the issuance, amendment and termination of trade finance instruments, i.e. bank guarantees, sureties, standby letters of credit & commercial letters of credit
- Assist in reviewing trade finance instruments issued by suppliers to ensure compliance with market and internal standards
- Ensure proper recording of the transactions in the Trade Finance Management System & timely payments of commissions
- Prepare quarterly reporting of the trade finance activities and other reporting (Dashboard, ALM, presentations...)
Project Finance
Financing
- Ensure the Group external credit facilities (e.g. project finance, bonds, USPP, etc.) are at any point in time accurately recorded in the Treasury Management System
- Ensure timely re-registration of Notes under USPP and keep register of the noteholders
- Ensure timely rate set, debt servicing, payment of financing-related costs (e.g. agency fees, MII), unpledge and repatriation of cash under project financings
- Ensure compliance to financial covenants, information undertakings and KYC on projects in operations
- Prepare drawdowns under project financings and corporate financings
Cash repatriation
- Active collaboration & support with local sites to ensure timely cash repatriation across the Group
- Prepare intercompany cash call notices & repayment notices, dividend distributions
- Ensure proper recording of the transactions in the Treasury Management System & timely payments
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree (University or "Haute Ecole Spécialisée" (HES)) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees (such as Master’s in Finance or relevant certifications) are advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in banking or corporate treasury, accounting, finance or related roles.
- Knowledge of credit facilities (project finance, RCF, bonds, shareholder loans) and trade finance instruments.
- Understanding of the process leading to the issuance, amendment, and termination of trade finance instruments.
- Knowledge with Treasury / Guarantee Management Systems (FIS Quantum & Finance Active Fairways Guarantee is a plus).
- Familiarity with financial covenants, information undertakings, and KYC compliance.
- Ability to execute timely payment of bank guarantee fees, manage debt servicing, and validate quarterly reporting on trade finance activity.
- English is a must, French a nice to have.
- Effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- Easy to navigate in an international environment, dealing with stakeholders from different countries and cultures.
- Attention to detail and adherence to compliance requirements.
