Purpose

  • As a Trade Finance Specialist, your mission is to navigate the intricate world of commercial financial instruments. You’ll advise project teams, negotiate guarantees, and ensure seamless trade finance operations—contributing to the organization’s success through meticulous oversight.

Responsibilities

  • - Advise Project teams on bank guarantees, SBLC and commercial letters of credit feasibility
  • - Negotiate biand multi-lateral guarantee facilities with banks and other financial institutions, in coordination with the wider Corporate Finance and TReasury community
  • - Lead the issuance, amendment and termination of trade finance instruments
  • - Validate proper recording of bank guarantees in the Treasury Management System and bank guarantee reporting tool.
  • - Supervise timely payment of bank guarantee fees
  • - Validate quarterly reporting on the trade finance activity

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree (University or "Haute Ecole Spécialisée" (HES)) in Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field. Advanced degrees (such as Master’s in Finance or relevant certifications) are advantageous.

Experience

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in corporate trade finance treasury or banking roles.
  • Negotiation skills for biand multi-lateral guarantee facilities with banks and financial institutions.
  • Hands-on experience leading the issuance, amendment, and termination of trade finance instruments.
  • Proficiency in validating proper recording of bank guarantees in the Treasury Management System.
  • Ability to supervise timely payment of bank guarantee fees and validate quarterly reporting on trade finance activity.
  • Effective communication and collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Attention to detail and adherence to compliance requirements.
