JOB PURPOSE

As part of the SBM Offshore Group Treasury, the Treasury Control Analyst will support the Treasury Control team in performing accounting, analysis and controlling tasks related to treasury operations. This role requires strong analytical skills, accounting expertise, and knowledge of treasury operations to ensure accurate and timely reporting and compliance with internal controls.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Accounting and Consolidation:

• Perform accounting entries related to treasury reporting, including loans and derivatives.

• Support ERP implementation (IFS).

• Assist in ensuring the correct application of IFRS for financial instruments, including hedge accounting, fair values, amortized cost, and embedded derivatives.

• Liaise with the Accounting department for the correct accounting treatment of treasury activities.

• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.

• Controlling:

• Perform In-House Banking monitoring.

• Prepare reconciliation of Interest Rate Swaps, Mark-To-Market bookings, and valuation adjustments.

• Prepare Cost of Finance and Debt forecast and monitoring.

• Follow the application of internal control procedures (Segregation of Duties, Control Matrix, Control testing, Bank reconciliation).

• Assist in the preparation of treasury reports for internal stakeholder.

• Analysis:

• Assist in developing and performing analysis to influence key strategic decisions, including sensitivity analysis, profitability, ratios, and pricing inputs.

• Perform regular reporting on financial risk and treasury activities.

• Assist in forecasting of net financing costs, financial instruments, and covenants.

• Collaborate with the Treasury Operational Excellence team to develop functionalities of the Treasury Management System.

• Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with other departments to ensure accurate and timely treasury activities.

• Participate in team meetings and contribute to a collaborative and learning-oriented environment 

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related field.

• 3 years of experience in a similar position, preferably treasury corporate.

• Experience with IFRS 9 and hedge accounting.

• Strong analytical and reporting skills.

• Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to interact cross-functionally.

• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.

• Proficiency in IT skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Power BI). FIS Quantum, VBA and IFS is a plus.

• Fluency in English required; French is a plus.

• Open-minded and capable of working in a dynamic environmen
