Job description:

The Electrical & Intrumentation Manufacturing Engineer is assigned to:

  • Support to electrical designer and/or electrical/instrumentation engineer during design and calculation also for contracted/subcontracted activities.
  • Support to mechanical designers on optical, LV or HV swivel design and standard construction.
  • Work on SBM/Imodco designed electrical, optical, LV or HV swivel / telemetry monitoring and control systems:
  • Issuance of equipment technical specifications (free issued items such as forgings, bolting, power rings etc, manufacturing and testing, I/O list,)
  • Issuance of technical calculations (power system sizing, radio path analysis)
  • Review and approval of electrical drawings / diagrams/ interconnection diagrams
  • Vendor selection process (interface with supply chain, review offers and issue TBE, participate to bid clarification meetings…)
  • PO execution: package engineer (accountable for compliance with specs), issue technical clarification list, review documentation, manage non-conformance(s) and deviations
  • Attend critical inspection(s) at manufacturer(s) premises such as inspection, assembly, FAT and iFAT
  • Gather Lessons learnt for future projects
  • Support site team until integration on board (stack erection, commissioning)
  • Propose and work on improvements to the swivel / telemetry standard


Job requirements:

  • Electrical or mechanical engineering school or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in Offshore with Industrial control system, design and manufacturing.
  • Knowledge of Siemens PLCs and control system, SCADA system.
  • Have a minimum knowledge of mechanical design and IEC standards.
