THIS POSITION

  • Reports to: Operability & Proposals Manager
  • Supervision of: Operations Lessons Manager, Operations Lessons Learning Project
  • Liaises with: Engineer


RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN TASKS
Responsible for the efficient and agile flow of Operational data from operational assets and offices to Operations headquarters and all group PL, in order to ensure continuous improvement of SBM FPSO design and operations – Owner of MAP – E2 process

 

  • Maintain up to date the mapping of all improvements processes within operations.
  • Ensure efficiency of each improvement processes to convey learnings back to existing Fleet/New units and propose improvement when relevant.
  • Ensure the continuous improvement processes are captured in GEMS with owner and clear RACI
  • Ensure traceability and measure the flow of learnings from improvement processes to existing Fleet/New Units and assign KPIs.
  • Define Mean Time To Improve KPI for the 4th Line Of Defense and ensure its effective adoption/utilization.
  • Responsible for yearly Operations Client satisfaction survey as per relevant GEMS process.
  • Align Operations Continuous Improvement Processes with other PLs outside Operations.

 

Responsible for the transition/transformation of Operations continuous improvement from manual input driven processes to automated data driven processes.

 

  • Prepare a transformation plan to transition from manually inputted learnings to data driven processes for Operations Management approval.
  • Implement the transformation plan in compliance with the approved resources, schedule, and budget and regularly report on progress.
  • Liaise with the relevant initiative’s owners in Asset Integrity department to ensure the transformation plan is aligned with the data structuration and organization projects, that will be at the basis/enabling data driven learning (Event based learning, FAST…)

 

Responsible for the adoption and monitoring of the efficient use of continuous improvement processes within Operations
 

  • Ensure the continuous improvement processes (MAP – E2) are known within Operations offices (Central, Regional, Local, Offshore) and are used adequately by members of Operations teams.

 

Responsible for processing high severity learnings up to closure.

 

  • Manage the learning team (Operations Lessons Manager, Operations Lessons Learning Project Engineer) and ensure they are assessing, prioritizing and treating high severity learnings as per GEMS requirements.
  • Ensure they are maintaining a Learning register up to date along with relevant KPIs
  • Ensure the learning team is visible and that Operations team know who to contact when they have a learning to share.

 

Responsible for Knowledge Management and Transfer for Operability Department

 

  • Ensure a knowledge database is set-up and maintained up to date within the Operability department and promote its adoption/use within SBM.
  • Develop the related processes to manage and use this knowledge database.
  • Through the Operations Lessons Manager, develop a knowledge transfer strategy within Operability, to ensure best retention of knowledge from most experience retiring Superintendent and transfer to the most recent joiners in the department.

 

Manage the Continuous Improvement team

 

  • Efficient use of the Continuous Improvement team to execute the tasks mentioned above
  • Delegate responsibilities as required based on each team members experience and abilities
  • Continuous Improvement manager to adjust its team scope so that it can fit the ongoing learnings and continuous improvement needs while preparing to address the future needs as per the transformation plan

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Specific skills / expertise / product:

  • University degree, BSc or MSc in relevant engineering field.
  • Minimum 12 years’ experience in FPSOs business, with basic understanding of FPSO Operations and Maintenance.
  • Experience with driving changes and transformation, ability to analyse current state, desired outcome and to develop a plan to achieve it.
  • Experience with company processes, methods and with organization of activities in complex work environment including different stakeholders with diverging objectives.
  • Results driven.
  • Fluent spoken and written English.
  • Available to travel internationally (short term), including on-board vessels (exceptionally).
  • Ability to work independently and quickly assess and prioritize situations.
  • Proactive, good interpersonal communication and supervisory skills and strong commitment to a team culture
