JOB PURPOSE
Innovation marketing plays a crucial role in the success of our new products and services, by integrating marketing early in the innovation process. Its main purposes include:
- Creating Market Opportunities: Ensuring that innovations reach the right audience.
- Enhancing Product Success: Increasing the chances of new products being successful in the market through strategic marketing activities.
- Driving Business Growth: Opening up new markets and boosting sales, contributing to overall business growth.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Product Marketing Development: Foster the development of a strong identity for the software product, differentiating it from competitors and aligning it with the company’s core values. Create a compelling story highlighting the unique value of digital products in O&G, particularly in resilience, safety, and cost savings.
- Community Building: Develop and cultivate an open ecosystem of clients and partners, including customers, technology providers and SBM Offshore teams to enhance brand reputation, leverage shared insights, and foster early advocacy.
- Market Positioning: Strategize and execute initiatives that position Smart Services and its Digital Products as key components of the company’s diversification and innovation efforts. Identify and leverage the most effective channels to reach different audiences: customers, users, and talents. Continuously collect and analyze data to optimize marketing strategies.
- Pilot Program Implementation: Support the implementation of the commercial strategy to gain initial market traction, focusing on early adopters. Frame pilot programs with key co-innovation partners like International Energy Companies to provide crucial validation and iterative feedback.
- Partnership Marketing: Develop and implement marketing strategies for existing partnerships, focusing on joint business development and cross-promotion to drive innovation and market growth.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Engage internal stakeholders by providing regular updates on innovation milestones and achievements. Foster a collaborative environment to ensure alignment and support to the Innovation and growth of the Product Line.
- Event Strategy: Plan and execute participation in industry events to showcase innovation and value creation achievements. Collaborate with team members to ensure objectives are met and maximize the impact of these events.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Innovation Management: Proven experience in leading and supporting innovation projects, with a strong understanding of innovation methodologies such as design thinking, test & learn, and customer-centric approaches.
- Marketing Strategy: Experience in defining marketing strategies through benchmarks and workshops, as well as optimizing strategic roadmaps with OKRs. Mastery of the Value Proposition Canvas and Business Model Canvas.
- Community Building: Experience in building and managing communities of clients and partners to enhance innovation culture.
- Partnership Management: Experience in coordinating partnerships and facilitating collaborative innovation approaches.
- Stakeholder Management: Ability to manage and engage internal stakeholders with regular updates and milestones, experience of the offshore O&G business is a must in that respect.
- Languages: English, Portuguese would be a plus.
