ABOUT THE DEPARTMENT
The Group Technical Assurance Department has multiple responsibilities as follows:

  • Develop and maintain SBM technical know-how through the issue of the Group Technical Standards, Group Technical Guidelines and Group Performance Standards
  • Develop and maintain Working Processes and Working Instructions through our GEMS related to Hazardous Area equipment.
  • Execute Life Cycle Technical Assurance activities for SBMs projects at large (Greenfield, Brownfield and Development)
  • Provide escalated technical support on specific expertise and sensitive technical issues (from feasibility to decommissioning including Incident Investigations)
  • Support the tendering activities by framing the proposals technical content (early, high level assessment of bid package).
  • Support the development of SBM standard products whenever necessary.

 

 

THE ROLE

  • You act as a third party independent from project execution.
  • You act as Group Principal Engineer from your discipline and contribute to above activities, interacting with internal and external Stakeholders, keeping an eye on the new technology developed by vendors, promoting best practices and technical solutions.
  • You participate to the development of the Technical Assurance plan for SBM’s Projects and execute corresponding design verification activities.
  • You attend key meetings such as vendor Kick off Meeting, factory acceptance Tests, commissioning and fleet audits both from Monaco and around the world as required and during the full Life Cycle of our products (FPSO).
  • You cooperate with Operation Technical Authorities to collect and analyze fleet data including lessons learned for ex equipment.
  • You support the Ex authorized Person: by reviewing dossier prepared by functions, in terms of Ex certification as per ISO 80079-34. (Ex quality system, Swivels, MPFs, specific products).
  • You participate in the qualification of vendors and subcontractors (VQR process), provide technical support to category manager.
  • You attend international event to defend Company interest


JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Engineering Degree or equivalent 
  • You typically have at least 10 years of experience in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical equipment or R&D.
  • You have experience in system/equipment certification
  • Has a solid track-record of expertise and understands the full life cycle of a unit.
