2024-Hydro-Internship3-Validation of Ariane 8.2 mooring software

SUBJECT / MAIN TASKS :

Ariane software is a mooring software commonly used in SBM offshore. Purpose of the internship is to investigate capabilities of latest revision (v 8.2).

Main tasks are:

• Validate the software for uncoupled analyses
  • Get familiar with Ariane 7 and Ariane 8.2
  • Perform comparison in terms of results and modelling on:
    • spread mooring [priority]
    • single point mooring
    • buoy+tanker
  • Establish recommended practice for modelling in Ariane 8
  • Test interface between Hysrostar and Ariane 8 for the import of hydrodynamics database
  • Ensure Get familiar with Ariane 7 and Ariane 8.2
  • Ensure compatibility of Ariane 8 with SBM postprocessing tools as required

• Assess software capabilities for coupled analyses
  • Compare with Ariane uncoupled analyses
  • Compare with Orcaflex coupled analyses
