We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented trainee to join our Logistics Department for a period of 4 to 5 months. The trainee will be responsible for developing a comprehensive platform/tool for our logistics operations. This tool will enable vendors to submit their rates online, compile a database used by the group for logistics services, allow the logistics team to easily extract bid comparison evaluations on specific trades, and facilitate logistics coordinators in booking services to awarded vendors.

During this training period, you will be located in Monaco and report directly to the Supply chain logistics Discipline Manager, and work on several initiatives in data analysis, and digital tool development for the Group’s Logistics.

 

THE ROLE

  • Price Extraction Tool: Develop a tool to extract prices from a global logistics price list data book, and support Bid Comp Evaluation.
  • Logistics Services Tool: Create an associated tool to book and record logistics services.
  • Data Integration: Ensure seamless integration between the price extraction tool and the logistics services tool.
  • Define and deliver Power BI dashboards: proving valuable insights in status and performance
     

Key tasks & responsibilities

  • Liaise with different stakeholders across the business functions to (co)establish requirements.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to understand the requirements and specifications for the platform/tool.
  • Liaise with IT Dept, to ensure tool complies with data protection regulations within the Group
  • Develop an online interface for vendors to submit their rates and populate the database.
  • Create a tool to automate the extraction of bid comparison evaluations from the database.
  • Develop a booking system within the tool to allow logistics coordinators to book services with logistics providers.
  • Ensure the tool is user-friendly and meets the needs of the logistics department.
  • Test and troubleshoot the tool to ensure accuracy and reliability.
  • Provide training and support to logistics staff in the Group and to vendors on how to use the tool.
  • Document the development process and create user manuals.

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Last year of master’s degree in computer science, Information Management or equivalent
  • Proficiency in Excel and experience with data extraction and analysis.
  • Experience with Power BI (incl. DAX), Power Apps, ETL processes, data warehouse design and MS Azure (ADF, SQL, Analysis Services) is a must
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Strong analytical, programming and data engineering skills
