Purpose

  • The New Market Program Lead assesses the value chain to identify where value can be created. The New Market Program Lead main objective is to define and mature product opportunities for SBM Offshore on new markets. 
  • The New Market Program Lead assesses the value chain to identify where value can be created.
  • He/She leads internal cross‑functional teams and interfaces with external partners to translate market insights, technology requirements, and business strategy into actionable program roadmaps.                                                                                                                            

Responsibilities

The New Market Program Lead has the overall responsability to:

  • Assess and quantify a new market potential through analysis of various technical and economical criteria and indicators.
  • Identify market needs and pain points and potential product opportunities.
  • Identify and address challenges for new market penetration and optimize overall investment.
  • Evaluate fit with corporate strategic objectives.
  • Assess the value chain and recommend SBM positioning in new market.
  • Define and own the Business Roadmap and its Strategy, including business and technical activities.
  • Engage with main internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment and communicate updates.
  • Proactively engage with management for decision making and validation of roadmap.
  • Define and maintain the program organization, responsibilities, and accountabilities.
  • Ensure the team has the balance of skills and expertise required to deliver the program streams
  • Provide the leadership direction required to main contributors to deliver as per plan.
  • Foster teamwork and cooperation within the internal stakeholders.
  • Manage communication and reporting across all internal and external stakeholders.

Education

  • University degree in a relevant engineering discipline.
  • A business degree is a plus.

Experience

  • 10-15 years’ experience in key industries such as oil & gas, energy, chemicals, or similar, including experience in project management.
