Trainee - Sustainability and Human Resources

The purpose of the internship program is to help undergraduate and/or graduate students further cultivate their skills through a real-life work experience in an international organization where Corporate Functions, develop strategic programs and deploy initiatives in Monaco.

 

The Monaco Country Internship will provide the opportunity to gain practical, professional work experience in the creation of sustainability initiatives and measuring tools for the Human Resource and Office Facilities department, partaking in Employee Experience reporting and regional action plans for various sustainability initiatives and Global Diversity & Inclusion projects.

 

Duties & Responsibilities:

Throughout the internship, duties and responsibilities could include:

Sustainability:

Supporting the Monaco HR and Office Facilities team in the following:

  • Developing a tool to measure COs emissions during telework activities and create an interactive online page for employees to measure their working from home footprint;
  • Support organizing a communication campaign to promote good behaviors to reduce COs emissions while working from home;
  • Develop a tool to measure CO2 emissions based on mean(s) of transport and residency address;
  • BREEAM In use:

1. Follow up on the Audit and Sustainability Scan to aspire to this high level of excellence certification for our NEPTUNE building and prepare action plan;

2. Carry out action plan and make suggestions to improve our performance with regard to:

  • CO2 in our buildings
  • Waste management in the building
  • Recycling initiatives
  • Employee well-being
  • Others
  • Research and make proposals for sustainable Team Building activities in the current COVID-19 sanitary context.
  • Supporting Sustainability Ambassadors in organizing and developing local initiatives

Diversity & Inclusion:

Support the Monaco D&I

  • Gathering Monaco diversity data in liaison with the Lucy Team;
  • Developing and organizing various local initiatives.

Knowledge and Abilities:

  • Knowledge of Sustainability and HR functions, either through coursework or employment experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to confidently and clearly communicate information verbally and in writing; fluent English speaker level is necessary.
  • Ability to maintain absolute confidentiality with employee and corporate information.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft O365, especially Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, Word. Additional skills in Adobe design suite (InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) and Miro boards appreciated.

 

Required Experience:

Education/Experience: The ideal intern will be a junior or senior working toward a Bachelor’s degree or higher; GPA of 3.0 or above.  Recommendation from an academic advisor or professor.
