Job description :
As the Offshore and Brownfield HSSE Manager, you are responsible for ensuring that the right level of Health, Safety, Security & Environment is applied on all SBM Installation and Brownfield Projects’ execution worldwide.
Reporting to the Environemental, Social and Governance Director, you provide support and direction to your pool of Project HSSE Managers / Leads and Installation HSSE Project Manager. You collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Group Functions, BPS HSSE Manager, and external partners. Your role is instrumental in promoting HSSE across Installation and Browfield Projects.
Responsabilities :
- Make sure that the Governance established for Brownfield projects (by the BPS HSSE Manager) is properly rolled-out, and implemented. Define needed trainings, and follow-up training matrix completion for SBM people and contractors
- Together with the Installation HSSE Manager conduct regular review of relavant part of our GEMS, to insure that HSSE managment onboard our installation vessel(s) is up-to-date and include the latest leassons learnt
- With the support of the HSSE Resources and Performance Manager, ensure compliance with applicable national and/or international HSSE regulatory requirement, including their evolution and updates

Monitor that the Project HSSE documentation (Project HSSE Plan, Project HSSE Audit Plan, Project HSSE ERP, etc) is delivered as per plan and in line with GEMS requirements
- Oversees the implementation of the Projects HSSE Plans
- Implement Group campaigns as launched
- Monitor HSSE performance and KPIs, and make sure they are properly reported through the different channels i.e. BPS HSSE Manager for MRR, MOR, GRS Performance Report, Group consolidation dashboards, etc..
- Organize/chair HSSE meetings within Project team, Construction site or Operations when project executions high risk are identified
- In line with the RCP, planned for proper ressources (quantity and skills) in order to maintain a proper projects execution.
- Identify potential HSSE risks and develop together with your HSSE Manager and the BPS HSSE Manager the strategies / campaigns to mitigate these risks. Make sure that regular HSSE audits are conducted to ensure compliance with the Management System.
- Make sure that the HSSE Audit plans comply with the GEMS requierements
- Lead HAZID process for offshore installations and EPC scope executed by Installation P/L
- Participate and/or Lead incident investigations
- Monitor and analyse HSSE incident reports to propose improvement across projects and product lines
- Provide Group HSSE with feedback from execution / operational level to update our governance as needed be.
- Together with the HSSE Resources and Performance Manager, define HSSE CTRs and manning plan during the proposal process and provide support to the tendering team
- Together with the HSSE Resources and Performance Manager, contribute to the development and implementation of HSSE standards, tools and best practices. Analyze the applicability of new tools and processes to improve HSSE on Installation and BPS Projects
- Provide timely solution and corrective actions that may be reported from the BPS HSSE Manager
Job requirements :
Education Background
- As a minimum, hold a Master degree in Engineering, Health, Management, Technical, Science, Education, Industrial, fields.
- Hold releavant HSSE certification against international standards: ISO, OSHA, NEBOSH, CSP, etc...
Experience
- Ten or More Years of Experience in HSSE or Installation or Brownfield projects This should include teams management in an international environement.
- Proven experience in managing global HSSE programs and leading cross-functional teams will be a plus

- Analytical & Problem-Solving: Strong problem-solving abilities to address HSSE and Project excution related challenges with a keen attention to detail.
- Time Management: Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
- Adaptability: Flexibility to adapt to fast pace changing business needs and priorities.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to articulate HSSE concepts to non-HSSE stakeholders. Ability to convey complex HSSE information clearly and effectively to convince various stakeholders profile.
