The Group Technical Assurance Department has resources dispatched globally, forming a community of high-level Technical Experts. This department is responsible for a variety of tasks, to which you will contribute, including:
- Developing and maintaining SBM technical know-how through the issuance of the Group Technical Standard and Group Technical Guideline.
- Ensuring Technical Compliance with GTS and Technical Integrity of the design during EPC and Operations phases by attending key meetings and reviewing key deliverables.
- Providing Group-wide technical support on specific expertise and sensitive technical issues, from feasibility to decommissioning.
- Supporting tendering activities by framing the proposals' technical content through early, high-level assessment of the bid package.
THE ROLE
You will report directly to the SBM Group Process Technical Authority. As an Internal Expert, you will contribute to the above activities, interacting with internal and external stakeholders, keeping abreast of the latest developments, and promoting best practices and technical solutions. You will review key Project Process deliverables and attend key meetings such as PFD and/or PSFD reviews, Hazop, SIL, and Operational Risk Assessment (ORA) both locally and globally as required throughout the full life cycle of our products (FPSO).
JOB REQUIREMENTS
You typically have at least 10 years of experience in Process Engineering for Topsides Utilities and Production systems, with expertise in at least two specific areas. Additionally, you possess the following skills and experience:
- Strong conceptual skills: Quickly and accurately translate Client’s requirements into feasible and performant solutions.
- High-performing team player: Provide and seek support from team members to ensure balanced, high-quality results.
- Excellent communication skills: Deliver clear messages, present results in client meetings, and adapt presentation style to the situation.
- Results-oriented: Identify and create opportunities, understanding how to frame and interact with clients to generate business.
- Autonomous: Operate independently within the SBM company and business context, guided by business principles and team objectives.
- Technical proficiency: Able to develop simple Thermodynamic Models using the Honeywell Unsim Design suite of software.
