Job description:
As Proposal Lead, you act as the Project Manager of the Proposal process.
You defend the agreed strategy by ensuring that the technical and cost elements of the proposal are aligned and achieved to time and quality.
You are the back-office support of the Business Development Manager and can be requested to directly interface with clients.
In order to ensure the delivery of high-quality proposal within the time constraints, you are to:
- Ensure that correct processes are followed and that the right people contribute to develop the technical and cost elements of the proposal
- Create and maintain a realistic schedule to develop the proposal
- Contribute to Sales strategy: check sales records to verify if the sales strategy is aligned with previous offer/ awards
- Recognize and address time constraints, engaging with disciplines to find a way to make it work
- Challenge the cost estimates and or technical inputs from IMR department
- Ensure that appropriate methods are used effectively to quantify cost uncertainty
- Make recommendations on the balance between cost and quality, based on benchmarked data and previous experience
- Define appropriate Contractual and Commercial set up during proposal/ handover stage
- Ensure all parties work together to produce cost-effective technical solutions and challenge both elements
- Escalate to the Business Development Manager if the proposal elements are not aligned to the strategy
Job requirements:
- bachelor Degree engineering studies and/or Business school degree
- Minimum 5 years oil & gas experience
- Already worked on a project at the WIN phase
- Terminals and After Sales Product line awareness/understanding
- Understanding of contract, legal & financial frameworks
- Negotiation skills
