Senior Project Engineer - Product Development

Purpose

The Senior Project Engineer – Product Development has the overall responsibility to deliver projects involving new products to external clients.

You may be assigned to more than one project depending on stage of development, the size and complexity of the Project.

Responsabilities:

The role requires close collaboration with internal stakeholders including Technology, Intellectual Property, FPSO Business Acquisition and Technical Framing teams, Supply Chain, Legal, Construction, Commissioning, Operations, the Project Execution Directorate, HR, and GRS to ensure products are technically viable, market-aligned, executable, and supported by the required capabilities.

Externally, the role interfaces with technology partners, clients, vendors, and participates in relevant joint industry projects, clubs, and conferences. The Senior Project Engineer acts as the main point of contact for co-development partners and clients, ensuring client needs are captured, reflected in product design, and met throughout project delivery.

1. In order to develop an effective product development, lead you are to:
   Lead the team inspiring others to achieve the project as per plan
   Define and maintain the project organization, responsibilities,and accountabilities
   Ensure the team has the balance of skills and expertise required to deliver the Project.
   Manage communication and reporting across all internal Projectmembers.
   Foster team work and cooperation within the Project and with stakeholders
    
2. In order to deliver projects involving new products as per plan, you are to:
   Identify and address challenges related to project execution at an early stage without jeopardizing the product development process.
   Provide the leadership direction required to successfully deliver (initiate, plan, execute, control) the product to the project execution community
   Own the development Strategy
   Propose a validated Project Execution Plan in line with product development Plan
   Communicate the Projectobjectives/ targets to the Project team and stake holders.
   Be the primary focal point with the Client and manage the communications, reporting and relationship with the client,
   Challenge performance in all aspects of the Project,
   Ensure that the internal client (and external as relevant) is notified as soon as a change in scope is detected,
    
3. In order to ensure future adoption of new product on project and prospect, you are to:
   Continuously engage with Technology manager, FPSO technical framing manager, BAD, BD, project teamsand external stake holder (Client, 3rd party) to align approach and pro-actively share development to ensure fit for market solution and enable continuous improvements.
   Communicate with different expertise areas and other departments to ensure all parties are promptly informed of product developments.
   Proactively engage with FPSO Project Execution Directorate to ensure execution aspect of the new product are built in the design and future execution endorsed by PED
   
   Support project bid and execution team by proactively engaging execution teams to engage team and facilitate adoption of new product

Education

• University degree in a relevant engineering discipline

Experience

• 10-15 years’ experience in offshore industry including 5 years in Project Execution of FPSOs at a relevant position
• Good technical knowledge of the company's productsResilience, ability to work in international and multi-cultural environments
• Show rigour, methodical and organisational skillsFluent in English
• Manage own priorities efficiently and able to remain flexible
• Able to meet deadline with good resistance to occasional pressureAbility to discuss with different levels of management
