Internship from February 2025 | Duration : 6 months           

Introduction                                                                             

Bilge keels are appendices of marine vessels useful to reduce roll motions. Their design requires the assessment of wave pressure acting on them.

Job description :

There are different objectives:

• Develop Python automation to compute loads on FPSO bilge keels using relative vessel/fluid velocities in Orcawave and Orcaflex,
• Implement it on real projects in view to validate the method by comparison with existing strength or fatigue assessments,
• Consolidate the method by testing different methods of vessel motion computation: fully-coupled or motional RAO.

Job requirements :

- Eng School – 2nd/3rd year.

- Background in hydrodynamics.

- Python coding.
