Internship from February 2025 | Duration : 6 months 

Introduction

Ariane software is a mooring software that is commonly used in SBM offshore. The purpose of the internship is to investigate the capabilities of the latest revision (version 8.2).

Description 

The main tasks will be:

• Validate the software for uncoupled analyses
  • Get familiar with Ariane 7 and Ariane 8.2
  • Perform comparison in terms of results and modelling on:
    • spread mooring [priority]
    • single point mooring
    • buoy+tanker
  • Establish recommended practice for modelling in Ariane 8
• Assess software capabilities for coupled analyses
  • Compare with Ariane uncoupled analyses
  • Compare with Orcaflex coupled analyses

Your Role

• Present Ariane 7 and Ariane 8.2 and SBM methodology for mooring analysis
• Guide the intern in the different steps of the validation process
• Assist in discussion with the software developer

What it will bring to you:

• Confidence to use the new version of the software for future mooring design

Job requirements :

• • Engineering school 3rd year
  • Background in hydrodynamics
  • Python coding
