Purpose
- As Maintenance Engineer, you are responsible for managing onshore maintenance work orders (WOs) and ensuring the efficient repair and return of equipment to meet the needs of offshore operations. This role involves coordinating with various departments, including offshore maintenance and logistics, to prioritize repairs and manage the flow of disembarked equipment. Youd also play a crucial role in vendor management, procurement support, and continuous improvement of department processes and performance.
Responsibilities
- You manage the onshore maintenance work order demand, ensuring timely and effective resolution of tasks.
- You oversee the backlog management for the fleet, aligning priorities with offshore maintenance department needs.
- You collaborate with the offshore maintenance department to prioritize equipment repairs and returns, ensuring alignment with operational needs.
- You work alongside logistics to manage the flow and control of equipment disembarked for service, ensuring proper handling and tracking.
- You support the planning and mobilization of resources for onshore maintenance activities, ensuring readiness for service.
- You assist with the diligence of purchase requisitions and purchase orders in coordination with the procurement team.
- You follow up on the maintenance status of equipment onshore, working closely with the onshore engineering team to ensure progress.
- You monitor onshore department KPIs, ensuring performance aligns with departmental goals.
- You ensure the technical competency of vendors using the SBM database, supporting technical assessments and repair decisions.
- You drive continuous improvement of department deliverables, identifying opportunities to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- You ensure proper reporting and communication within the team, maintaining transparency and alignment.
- You manage performance in terms of cost and departmental deliveries, ensuring objectives are met.
- You liaise with partners to achieve targets, fostering collaboration and shared goals.
- You support the development and qualification of vendor contracts, ensuring compliance and alignment with company standards.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Engineering,, Metallurgical/Materials Engineering or Automation Engineering.
Experience
- Experience in maintenance management (minimum 5 years, desired 10 years)
- Oil and gas experience (desired)
