Corporate Sustainability Specialist

Purpose

• The Corporate Sustainability Specialist is responsible for one aspect of sustainability, normally E(environment) or S(socialeconomics) or G(governance) within SBM.
• You ensure compliance with new regulation, create and monitor awareness within the organization and build up and execute the strategic roadmap from CSRD and CSDDD directives set within the company.

Responsibilities

• You execute the strategic roadmap for CSRD implementation.
• You identify gaps between sustainability roadmap and current situations, develop action plans in collaboration with business partners.
• You monitor project milestones to ensure timelines and budgets are met.
• You coordinate cross-functional teams, including sustainability, technology, data, product, commercial, and communications departments.
• You oversee the end-to-end annual reporting process, ensuring CSRD compliance and timely delivery.
• You participate in the implementation of Sustainability/CSRD tools and supporting digital transformation.
• You focus on continuous process improvements to enhance the way of working.
• You develop initiatives for efficient data collection and ensure successful delivery of accurate data.
• You identify and mitigate risks associated with CSRD program implementation.
• You maintain and improve internal control processes with support from internal teams.

Education

• Bachelor or Master's degree within a relavant field, for example, environment engineering, socialeconomics supply chain or finace or governance law degree

Experience

• You have over 5 years of proven experience in the oil and gas industry, demonstrating a deep understanding of its complexities and challenges.
• You have extensive knowledge of EPCI (Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation) projects.
• You have a strong background in project management, successfully overseeing all stages of project lifecycles while maintaining excellent communication and organizational skills.
• You bring valuable experience in reporting for Corporate Social Responsibility and Sustainability Reporting, ensuring compliance and transparency in all relevant corporate initiatives.
• You demonstrate advanced English language proficiency, allowing you to communicate effectively with global teams and stakeholders across various regions.
• Your people management skills are well-established, with a proven ability to lead, motivate, and develop high-performing teams.
• You have solid experience working in a global environment, adept at collaborating across diverse cultures and navigating international challenges with ease.
