Main Responsibilities
You design, implement, and manage crane rigging and lifting systems to ensure safe, efficient, and reliable lifting operations within our FPSO operations.
Your role is essential in optimizing lifting processes, maintaining equipment integrity, and supporting overall operational success.
Below you can find a list of more detailed responsibilities:
- You design and develop crane rigging and lifting plans, ensuring they meet safety standards, operational requirements, and industry regulations.
- You conduct detailed assessments and analyses of lifting equipment and rigging systems, identifying potential improvements and ensuring compliance with safety and engineering standards.
- You oversee the installation, maintenance, and inspection of crane rigging and lifting equipment, ensuring optimal performance and reliability.
- You collaborate with engineering and operations teams to plan and execute lifting operations, including risk assessments and operational planning.
- You provide technical support and guidance on complex lifting operations, troubleshooting issues, and implementing solutions to ensure safe and effective execution.
- You stay informed about emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in crane rigging and lifting, applying this knowledge to enhance systems and processes.
- You develop and maintain documentation, including lifting plans, safety procedures, and equipment manuals, ensuring they are up-to-date and accurate.
- You conduct training and mentoring for team members on rigging, lifting procedures, and safety practices, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and safety.
- You prepare and present reports on crane rigging and lifting system performance, project status, and safety compliance to senior management and stakeholders.
- You ensure all crane rigging and lifting operations comply with relevant safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements, integrating these considerations into daily practices.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a related field.
- Additional certifications in rigging and lifting or safety management are preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in crane rigging and lifting engineering roles within the oil and gas industry, with significant experience in FPSO operations.
- Proven expertise in designing lifting systems, managing rigging operations, and ensuring compliance with safety standards is essential.
- Experience with complex lifting projects is highly beneficial.
