Purpose

  • As a Data Architect, you design and implement data architecture solutions that align with business objectives. Ensure data integrity, scalability, and performance by managing data models and integration strategies. Collaborate with stakeholders to optimize data systems and enhance overall data management.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage the development and implementation of data governance strategies and frameworks.
  • Collaborate with data stewards, data owners, and other stakeholders to ensure data governance policies and practices are aligned with business goals.
  • Develop and enforce data governance standards, guidelines, and best practices to ensure data quality, integrity, and security.
  • Coordinate and facilitate data governance activities, including data quality assessments, data cataloging, and metadata management.
  • Conduct training and awareness programs to promote data governance practices across the organization.
  • Monitor compliance with data governance policies and procedures, identifying and addressing data governance issues and risks.
  • Support data-related projects by providing expertise in data governance and ensuring adherence to governance standards.
  • Establish and manage data governance metrics and reporting to track the effectiveness of data governance initiatives.
  • Facilitate the resolution of data governance issues and conflicts, ensuring data consistency and accuracy.
  • Stay current with industry trends and best practices in data governance and apply this knowledge to improve data governance processes.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, data management, or a related field is required. Certifications such as Certified Data Management Professional (CDMP), Certified Information Management Professional (CIMP), or other data governance-related certifications are preferred. Master's Degree: A master's degree in data science, information systems, or a related field is advantageous but not mandatory.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in data governance, data management, or a related field, with at least 2 years in a leadership or managerial role.
  • Proven experience in developing and implementing data governance strategies and frameworks.
  • Strong technical background with hands-on experience in data quality management, data cataloging, and metadata management tools.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and enforce data governance standards, guidelines, and best practices.
  • Experience with data governance frameworks and methodologies, such as DAMA-DMBOK.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex data governance concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Strong leadership and team-building skills, with a passion for developing and mentoring talent.
  • Fluency in spoken and written English is mandatory.
