RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN TASKS

The ESG Reporting Analyst will be part of and report to the Forecast to Report department, while working closely with the Group Sustainability department.

  • Providing business owners with guidance on ESG financial and non-financial metrics / datapoints – based on key regulations and standards (including CSRD/ESRS, CSDDD, IFRS & GRI);
  • Support the development and implementation of the CSRD roadmap and project controlling process;
  • Collecting, validating, and consolidating ESG-related financial data from software and business owners;
  • Assisting in preparing the quarterly Management Reporting and the Annual Reports, on the financial perspective of ESG topics;
  • Staying up to date with emerging reporting regulation and relevant agency ratings (ESRS; CSDDD, IFRS, GRI, CDP, S&P, and others);
  • Manage & maintain supportive reporting tools;
  • Supporting business owners during the audit timeline and prepare financial information requested at year-end;
  • Managing ESG auditor feedback during the Annual Report process;
  • Build relationships with stakeholders across various levels of SBM to provide ESG-related financial metrics for decision-making in a timely manner;
  • Contribute to the automation of current procedures;

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Specific skills / expertise / product: 

  • University Degree in Economics, Management or equivalent finance degree, with strong focus on financial reporting/controlling or ESG reporting;
  • Min. 3 years in an international audit or consulting firm and/or in a reporting/controlling position with an international environment or in a listed company;
  • Experience with financial reporting according to IFRS Accounting Standards (is a plus);
  • Experience with preparing or auditing ESG reporting including EU Taxonomy and NFRD (is a plus);
  • Fluency in English, both written and verbal;
  • Proficiency in IT tools, especially Business Object, and accounting tools;
  • Strong Excel skills with the ability to handle data in an efficient way;
  • Ability to automate analysis and specific procedures;
  • Appetite for a permanent search of technical knowledge (CSRD, EU Taxonomy, IFRS);

  • Strong communication skills to engage stakeholders in the sustainability and reporting areas, and participate in presentations to management teams as required;

  • Ability to work with many stakeholders including non-financially literate ones;
  • Quality-minded and willing to engage in hands-on work;
  • Good analytical skills and critical thinking, with the ability to work with large data sets while having a “helicopter view” when necessary;
