Purpose

In the role of Forecast to Control and Accounting Department manager you have a pivotal position being on a crossroad of information coming from or being provided to financial stakeholders, Business Control & Advisory and Finance Directors of each pillar and Joint ventures partners. All this information needs to be combined, reviewed and transferred into high quality data to supply to the Finance Directors and to the Group Controller in order to satisfy the ever-increasing information demands of external and internal stakeholders and markets. You work in an environment with significant space to take initiative and make an impact on the Company’s business and strategy.
You will supervise the full Close & Accounting and Forecast to Control end-to-end processes and the dedicated associated teams.
You report to the Forecast to Report Director and lead a dynamic team of experts in financial planning, Close and Accounting and Treasury Control. You closely work with several internal and external stakeholders mainly Finance Business Control & Advisory, Group Tax, Group Control, Group Treasury, Consolidation and Technical expertise, Global process owner, external auditors and JV partners.

 

Responsibilities

  • Contributing to company-wide transformation program on reporting dedicated information system tools and innovative solutions: You actively contribute to the transformation and optimization of the Corporate & Business Solutions Center (CBSC), supporting the implementation of end-to-end processes within the new ERP landscape. You drive simplification, standardization, efficiency, continuous improvement, and innovation across Forecast to Control and Close & Accounting activities. You also enhance management reporting through KPI monitoring, performance analysis, and improved tools and solutions.
  • Monitoring Financial Planning and Management reporting: Oversee the preparation of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts for Corporate and relevant business scopes, ensuring timely and accurate delivery; Review business assumptions provided by Business Control & Advisory teams and support Finance Directors in evaluating financial performance; Contribute to quarterly Management Operating Reporting (MOR), providing financial insights, KPI analysis, and decision-making support to Finance Directors and Group Control.
  • Monitoring Close and Accounting activities: Oversee quarterly Balance Sheet reporting under IFRS and Directional standards, ensuring accuracy, compliance with Group accounting policies, and timely submission to Group Consolidation. Act as a key accounting expert, providing guidance on accounting matters, reviewing key agreements, and ensuring appropriate treatment of complex and non-routine transactions. Coordinate annual tax reporting activities in collaboration with Tax teams. Supervise the preparation of statutory financial statements for approximately 80 entities, ensuring compliance with local regulations and timely delivery.
  • Monitoring of Treasury control activities: Oversee treasury planning, accounting reconciliations, and reporting related to net finance costs and financial instruments under IFRS. Review fair value measurements performed through Treasury Management Systems. Ensure compliance with IFRS 9 hedge accounting requirements and manage IFRS 7 financial instruments disclosures for statutory and consolidated reporting.
  • Contributing to the financial information provided to our Joint Ventures partners: Act as the finance liaison with Joint Venture partners and ensure the quality and accuracy of financial information included in Board reporting packages for Joint Venture entities.
  • You are the key point of contact of external auditors: Coordinate audit-related activities within your scope, ensuring timely and accurate delivery of requested information. Act as the main interface between auditors and internal stakeholders, including Tax, Legal, and Business Control & Advisory teams, facilitating an efficient audit process and the timely issuance of audit opinions.
  • Providing IFRS Accounting analysis: Review and challenge accounting analyses and position papers related to complex transactions, including IFRS 15, IFRS 16, and IFRS 9 topics. Ensure alignment with Group accounting experts and provide guidance on accounting treatments impacting statutory and consolidated financial statements.
  • Supervising the Forecast to Control and Accounting team: Lead and develop a high-performing team by fostering accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, critical thinking, and strong control standards. Ensure the timely delivery of accurate financial information that meets management expectations.

Education

  • Candidate with relevant post-graduation degree and qualification in finance (i.e. CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) completed by an MBA. 

Experience

  • Proven track record in building high performing teams and serving as a senior executive with extensive experience operating in complex organizations. Experience in Energy sector market is an advantage .
  • Very good level in IFRS including preparation of full set of financial statements.
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills, with proven ability to deliver accurate and timely forecasts, assess reasonableness, and conduct sensitivity analyses to identify risks and opportunities.
  • Solid contractual expertise, with practical judgment to optimize financial returns.
  • Clear appetite for Innovation and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Tax knowledge including awareness of corporate tax structures, tax planning strategies, and reporting requirements.
  • Proven skills in terms of leadership, team energizing management, identification and development of talents and building/leading teams.
  • Demonstrated success in management of stakeholders and management of change,
  • Self-motivated, proactive and ability to function in a tight deadline-oriented environment,
  • You have experience and like to work in an international team environment.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Excellent communication skills with high level of proficiency in English, both written and verbally.
