RESPONSABILITIES & MAIN TASKS
You are responsible for guiding and supporting the implementation, and monitoring of health, safety, security, and environmental within operational activities.
You ensure that all activities performed in Porto location comply with HSSE regulations and standards, contributing to a safe and sustainable work environment.
You promote the culture of safety, security and environmental responsibility within Porto location, fostering open communication about HSSE concerns, recognizing and rewarding good HSSE practices.
Responsibilities:
- Implement and maintain HSSE programs, standards and policies.
- Conduct or participate in detailed risk assessments and hazard analyses, Identifying potential risks and implementing mitigation strategies.
- Support or lead investigations into HSSE incidents and near-misses, performing root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
- Monitor compliance with HSSE regulations and standards in operational activities, conducting audits and inspections as necessary.
- Develop initiatives aimed at minimizing the environmental impact of operations, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations and promoting sustainability in engineering practices, and promote eco-friendly practices within Porto location to minimize the environmental footprint.
- Develop, review and maintain HSSE documentation, including risk assessments, safety plans, and regulatory compliance reports.
- Lead the development and maintenance of emergency response plans, including the training of the emergency response teams to respond effectively to emergencies such as fires, natural disasters or medical emergencies, ensuring that emergency response teams are prepared for potential incidents.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in HSSE practices, contributing to the overall safety and efficiency of operational processes.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Holder of the certification issued by the competent entity for the promotion of health, safety, security, and environmental in Portugal, under the ministry responsible for the labor sector.
- Fluency in English.
