ROLE PURPOSE

The IT Release Manager will be responsible for managing the release of software updates, upgrades, and patches across all environments, including production.

He / She will have a strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and be able to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

ROLE CONTRIBUTION

  • Manage the software release process from planning to deployment
  • Chairman of the Change Advisory Board
  • Coordinate with IFS Solution teams to schedule release dates and ensure that all release activities are completed on time
  • Develop and maintain release schedules and calendars
  • Ensure that releases are compliant with applicable policies, regulations, and standards
  • Ensure that any new releases can be technically maintained overtime
  • Identify and mitigate potential release-related risks
  • Develop and maintain release-related documentation, such as release notes and user guides
  • Collaborate with the change management team to ensure that changes are properly documented and communicated to stakeholders
  • Communicate release status and updates to relevant stakeholders
  • Continuously evaluate and improve the release process to increase efficiency and effectiveness

 

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Excellent communication in English both verbal and written

Technical Competencies

  • Excellent ITIL knowledge (ITIL certification is preferred)
  • Proven experience managing the release of ERP services (IFS is preferred)
  • Knowledge of ERP systems and processes (IFS is preferred)
  • Experience with service delivery tools, such as IT service management (ITSM) software and monitoring tools (ServiceNow is preferred)
  • Strong experience with release management tools, such as DevOps, GitLab, and Jira
  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies, such as Agile and Waterfall (Certification is preferred)
  • Strong understanding of service delivery processes, including SLAs, service catalogs, and escalation processes
  • Strong project management, organizational, and communication skills
