Purpose
- The International Specialist, as IM expert, is responsible for coordinating, monitoring, and ensuring the success of the entire International Outbound Assignment process. The Specialist ensures seamless coordination with both internal and external stakeholders and provides continuous support to assignees throughout their assignments.
Responsibilities
- Act as the primary expert and single point of contact for outbound mobilizations, providing direct support to employees, HR Business Partners, and business leaders
- Responsible for managing, coordinate and monitor the international assignments to ensure a smooth and compliant process.
- Prepare and present these proposals to HR Business Partners and candidates, ensuring clarity and alignment with organizational guidelines.
- Prepare and analyze the business case and select the best option / cost projection for the Company and the Employee
- Provide recommendations on International Mobility Optimization
- Ensure compliance with IM rules and Policies and monitor deviation process if needed.
- Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives, aiming to streamline, enhance efficiency, and harmonize processes within the CBSC structure
- Organize and lead the on-boarding (pre-assignment) meetings with the future assignees, the home and host countries and main contacts in liaison with the Inbound expert.
- Interface with different stakeholders for coordination of the mobilizations / demobilizations
- Handle the Hypo tax and Tax Equalization process and ensure proper interface with GEC, Tax Provide and Group Tax Dept.
- Responsible for managing the assignment/position management in the HR system, therefore ensuring the accuracy and quality of data throughout the process
- Update the IM headcount of International Assignee population and maintain accuracy of the mobile workforce
- Support HRBPs and the business on Mobility matters with regular review of their population
- Time on / Time off administration for International Assignees by ensuring monthly benefit calculation through the Monthly Time Sheets system
- Act as main focal point for the assignee throughout the assignment for several topics namely Medivac/Medical.
- Participation to IM Group activities and IM project
- Actively participate and contribute in the annual policy review
Education
- Bachelor or Master’s degree in HR, Psychology, Law or Business Administration
Experience
- 3+ years of experience in International Mobility within a global environment, preferably in a shared service center.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Experience with SuccessFactors will be a plus
- Good English level
- Good organizational skills; able to manage priorities
- Ability to adapt to changing work environments and work priorities
