RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN TASKS

•    Design and produces a fit for purpose and manufacturable design related to electromechanical systems and its components. 
•    Ensures application of best practices to produce fit for purpose products according to company, industry, and client standards. 
•    Utilize technical knowledge and software tools to clearly depict the design that can be easily and correctly interpreted by others.
•    Communicate with MoC Engineers and/or Technical Support Leaders to ensure design intent is understood to avoid rework.
•    Plan and deliver assigned tasks accurately within the agreed time frame.
•    Prioritize activities and effectively manage conflicting deadlines ensuring continued progress to meet the schedule. Proactively provide Leaders with status updates.
•    Organize documents and deliverables so they are easy to understand and locate.
•    Collaborate with Engineers and other team members to share information, produce a high-quality product, and resolve design conflicts.
•    Escalate unresolved issues to the Technical Support Leader to minimize delays in deliverables.
•    Develop the design with functionality/constructability/manufacturability. 
•    Completion of design/drawing against budget and schedule.
•    Demonstrated understanding of design impact on other disciplines.
•    Demonstrate adaptability in implementing change while ensuring MOC procedures are used. 
•    Collaborate with MoC and Discipline Engineers to ensure timely review of vendor documents and that comments are made with the required quality level.
•    Ensure consistency of design and symbology. Perform self- checks to produce error-free deliverables.
•    Comply with project scope, work instructions, specifications, codes, industry standards and regulations per project requirements. 


JOB REQUIREMENTS

Specific skills / expertise / product:  
•    Mechanical Engineer/technician level (Preferable) or Naval or Marine degree.
•    Minimum 5 years of experience in project engineering company developing design for heavy Industries (e.g., O&G, Mining, Steel, Petrochemical, etc.)
•    Experience with the update of PFD, P&IDs, loop diagrams, layout, structure drawings and development of piping arrangements, supports, plants, isometrics, spools detailing, etc.
•    Advanced knowledge in design tools such as AutoCAD 2D/3D or MicroStation, 3D Modeling is mandatory.
•    Knowledge in software tools such as Excel advanced, Python, VBA, database (e.g., SQL) is desirable.
•    Familiarized with working procedure, regulatory compliance, and other constraints.
•    Able to travel abroad and offshore on short or long duration basis as required.
•    Fluent in spoken and written English.
