Purpose

  • As Marine Equipment Engineer you are responsible for overseeing the maintenance, repair, and operation of marine equipment used. You ensure that all equipment is functioning properly and meets safety standards to support the efficient execution of operations.

Responsibilities

  • You coordinate maintenance activities and ensure the timely servicing of marine equipment.
  • You provide technical support for equipment troubleshooting, identifying and resolving issues to minimize downtime.
  • You monitor equipment performance, recommending improvements and upgrades for enhanced efficiency.
  • You ensure compliance with industry standards and safety regulations in all maintenance operations.
  • You collaborate with offshore and onshore teams to ensure equipment readiness for marine operations.
  • You maintain detailed records of equipment maintenance, inspections, and repairs.
  • You support procurement activities by providing technical input on equipment specifications and vendor selection.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Marine Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in marine equipment maintenance and repair
  • Experience working in the offshore oil and gas industry is preferred
  • Strong knowledge of marine mechanical systems, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  • Proven experience in troubleshooting and maintaining marine equipment.
  • Familiarity with industry standards, safety regulations, and best practices in marine engineering.
