Purpose
- As Mooring System Lead, you are responsible for overseeing the maintenance and inspection of mooring systems used in offshore oil and gas operations of your dedicated vessel(s). You coordiante the full in-water survey activities. This role involves coordinating with project teams, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure that mooring and in-water systems are efficiently and effectively implemented to support safe and efficient operations.
Responsibilities
- You Improve inspection scope of work and inspection organization in your region to ensure delays and conditions of class due dates are respected
- You coordinate with project teams to schedule and execute mooring system installations
- You act as single point of contact for in-water Inspection for Operations and nd you get support from Naval Engineers in the Region
- You oversee the maintenance and inspection of mooring systems to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
- You provide technical expertise and support for mooring system operations
- You develop and implement mooring system risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- You collaborate with subcontractors and vendors to procure materials and equipment for mooring system installations
- You conduct periodic reviews and audits of mooring system performance and recommend improvements as needed
- You approve the inspection plans (5 years and RBI).
- You develop the budget for the inspections campaigns and follow up during the year to support its achievement through KPIs and dashboards
- You ensure the preparartion of Yearly Unit report for Mooring
Education
- Bachelor or Master Degree in Hydrodynamics/Offshore engineering/Naval engineering or related field
Experience
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in mooring system design, installation and inspections in the oil and gas industry
- Demonstrated experience in project management and coordination
- Knowledge of International Codes and Standards related to mooring & station-keeping of permanent structures ((ABS fpi rules & position mooring, FPS Guide 82, API RP2SK, BV NR493, DNV OS-E301, ISO 19901-7).
- Basic knowledge in material science and fabrication of forged steel components.
- Basic knowledge of mooring related mechanical equipment (winches, tensioning systems).
- Knowledge of OrcaFlex, and Ariane mooring softwares.
