Piping and Pressure Vessels Engineer

Purpose
- You are responsible for ensuring the effective integrity of piping systems and pressure vessels on Floating Production Storage and Offloading (FPSO) units.
Responsibilities
- You act in the integrity on-board FPSOs for Pressure systems (Piping, Pressure Vessel, hoses, and tubing).
- You are responsible for the execution of the scopes for all equipment controlled, piping and pressure vessels in particular, including predictive maintenance, condition monitoring, quality assurance and quality control of subcontractors.
- You ensure legal compliance, national regulatory requirements and keep certifications based on national or international standards and ordinances.
- You ensure preparation, implementation, and monitoring of inspection plans of piping and pressure vessels controlled equipment, and organization of related activities with equipment inspector.
- You define inspection techniques to guarantee the physical integrity of piping and pressure vessels. Implement new inspection technologies, and methodologies, special tests, engineering studies, etc.
- You analyze the in-service piping and pressure vessels structural integrity through inspections and nondestructive tests, assessment for fitness for service or risk-based inspection to determine if the equipment is fit for continued service.
- You embark in the operational units might be required for these activities to comply with local requirements.
- You prepare, review, and approve inspection records, ensuring that are conclusive in accordance with the company procedures, standards, integrity management system, national legislation and ordinances, to attend certifications.
- You approve, control, reassess and manage the inspection technical recommendations related to piping and pressure vessels inspections.
- You support the frame agreement negotiations with subcontractors dealing with the activies in Piping and Pressure Vessel.
- You collect KPIs to maintain the overall dashboard for Asset Integrity execution, inspection and monitoring.
- You support the Asset Integrity Piping & Pressure Vessel specification for the new units.
- You review annual inspection campaigns relative to the discipline.
Education
- Bachelor Degree in Mechanical or Naval Engineering Disciplines, or equivalent.
Experience
- 5 years experience in the field inspection of piping and pressure vessels, following national and international standards and ordinances.
- Extensive knowledge in design and Engineering as per process piping international standard (B31.3).
- Extensive knowledge of pipe construction and piping repair techniques is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge of Risk Based Inspection (RBI) methodology and standards is a plus.
- Extensive knowledge in piping specification such as piping material class, material data sheet.
- Design skill in Plant Desig Management System (PDMS) or Naviswork softwares.
- Masterâs degree or Post-Graduation in a relevant subject to the activities (e.g. Metallurgical/Corrosion) or relevant certification in correlated areas is considered a competitive edge.
- Be active with any mandatory registration and certifications required by national regulatory standards
