RESPONSIBILITIES

• To actively contribute to MDPC’s Asset Integrity Management (AIM) efforts throughout the Floating Production Storage Offloading (FPSO) asset life cycle (design, fabrication, installation, commissioning, operations, late life operations and de-commissioning/abandonment);
• To assist Asset Integrity team in the process of build, implement  and maintain a fit-for-purpose Rotating Equipment Integrity Management System, that will allow effective and efficient implementation and management of the Mechanical Rotating Equipment Integrity programs, in accordance with associated technical codes and standards and organizational procedures;
• To integrate Rotating Equipment Integrity Management programs and processes with Anomaly Management, AMOS Plant Maintenance, HSSE (Health, Safety, Security & Environment) and Process Safety functions, to ensure Safety Critical Equipment (SCE) risk reduction measures are in accordance to the principles of ALARP (as low as reasonably practicable);
• To develop, implement rotating equipment failure mode and effects criticality analysis (FMECA), root cause and failure analysis, bad  actor management, and rotating equipment continuous improvement programs, procedures and plans;
• To promote and inculcate “Safety First” work culture to all direct reports, inspectors, contractors and colleagues;
• Build, promote and manage applicable KPI’s (Key Performance Indicators) related to rotating equipment integrity management;
• Responsible for the overall building, implementing and maintaining a fit-for-purpose Rotating Equipment Integrity Management, from overall asset integrity objectives to individual rotating equipment programs, plans, procedures, performance reporting and continuous improvement;
• Responsible for the effective review and eventual ownership of all rotating equipment related performance standards. Ensure timely support for technical issues on shore base/offshore requests;
• Ensure rotating equipment budgets and plans are prepared, justified, reviewed and present timely to the Manager;
• Deliver internal reporting (i.e. SCE equipment anomaly management, bad actor management, etc.) as required by Manager, Asset Integrity. Ensure this is accurate, relevant, timely and clearly identifies areas of significant risks to facilities operations;
• Interface and coordinate with relevant stakeholders, Asset Integrity team, OTS team, discipline engineers, maintenance, operations, and safety team to resolve issues related to rotating equipment integrity management;
• Interface with vibrations analysis service provider (i.e. Petrofac) to collaboratively analyze each rotating equipment condition, develop and execute necessary action plan. Ensure monthly calls with Petrofacand Unit are happening and participate to those;
• Interface with Maintenance Team (onshore and offshore) as well as with Supply Chain and Logistics departments to make sure that the lube oil and liquid fuel sampling is carried out as per CMMS requirements, and resulting actions are tracked and executed in a timely manner;
• Participate to Quarterly Performance Reviews with Gas Turbines Service Provider (i.e. Solar Turbines) and enforce follow-up of main actions;
• Manage subcontracts for major inspection/ repair/ overhaul works, including scope definition, bid invitation, clarification, selection, contract negotiations, award recommendations, supervision during execution, variation control and acceptance of the work done;
• Ensure regular calls (at least bi-weekly) are in place with Gas Turbines Service Provider (i.e. Solar Turbines) to discuss action tracker; participate and ensure key stakeholders are engaged in such activity;
• Deliver/present rotating equipment integrity issues, recommendations, improvements, and /or KPI be it related to procedure, forms, systems, or processes, via bi-weekly mitigation review meeting, technical/management forums, workshops, etc;
• Keep track of machinery historical failures. Ensure full understanding of main failure modes and gather lessons learned to be shared with Operations Headquarter. Propose remedial actions and improvements to increase availability and reliability of the machines;
• Promote, recommend and establish new technologies where appropriate. Promote and encourage knowledge transfer and sharing of technical best practices amongst engineering and operations team across MDPC;
• Participate in all MDPC SHE programs such as safety meetings, safety engagement and workshops, training courses, etc. Provide relevant feedback to improve SHE undertakings in rotating equipment integrity management where necessary;
• Support the management of change processes: OQs, OTQs, temporary repairs, software change request, chemical change, PMCR, etc;
• Provide input to new projects through review of design documents and specifications to ensure good operating practice and expertise is incorporated;
• Establish internal audits procedures to ensure rotating equipment integrity management related performance requirements are always met;
• Establish, track, monitor and report deviations and or deferments related to rotating equipment integrity management;
• Ensure inventory of key spare parts to maintain and operate rotating equipment is adequately managed.


JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Chief Engineer or Degree in Mechanical Engineering;
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry and in operation and maintenance of engine room and topsides equipment;
• Professional engineering certification, and / or intimate working knowledge with international codes, standards and recommended practices such as ASME, API, ANSI and ISO is an added advantage.
