Purpose
- As Senior Data Scientist, you will join the Data Science and Innovation team within the SBM Offshore Digital Development and Innovation.
Responsibilities
- Develop Data Science applications by going through data gathering, data cleaning, data exploration and other necessary activities to construct data sets ready for modeling.
- Research and implement appropriate data science algorithms and tools, perform statistical analysis, model development, feature engineering and fine-tune models using test results.
- Evaluate models to assess their performance, ensuring they fully address the functional and technical specifications, and package the model or algorithm as a web-based application.
- Create data visualization and produce detailed reports summarizing methodologies, analyses and findings to technical and non technical stakeholders.
- Develop and refine in-house tools for specific data science needs.
- Understand project requirements and work with the Data Science Lead and IT Project Manager or SCRUM master to accurately estimate man-hours, resource needs, and completion dates for deliverables.
- Proactively address any performance issues and collaborate with Data engineer, data scientist, developer and the Line Manager to continuously improve team performance.
- Train and mentor junior team members in data science techniques and best practices by providing advanced expertise in statistical, mathematical and application development concepts, helping prioritize and define their tasks to effectively manage conflicting deadlines and meet key milestones and deliverables.
Education
- Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a similar field is required.
- Deep knowledge of machine learning frameworks and libraries, as well as the ability to write robust code in Python, is essential.
- Familiarity with cloud environments and Azure DevOps is a plus. Proficiency in time series processing and analysis is expected.
- Ability to work in an Agile and DevOps environment is crucial.
- Fluent in spoken and written English is required for effective communication.

- Minimum of 2 years of proven experience as a Data Scientist,
