As a Senior Learning specialist, you are responsible for designing and implementing competency-based learning journeys that align with SBM’s strategic objectives, in collaboration with targeted business functions and associated HR generalists (HR Director, Global/Local HR Business Partners, Country HR Manager). You champion a cultural shift towards continuous learning, integrating it seamlessly into our operational workflows and driving a mindset of self-driven growth across the organization.
ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES
- Strategic Learning Alignment:
- You partner with functional leaders and HR generalists to identify role-specific competencies and assess learning needs, ensuring alignment with business and career objectives.
- You design and deliver competency-based learning solutions that address identified needs and contribute to organizational performance, incorporating the 70/20/10 learning strategy.
- You guide the HR generalists to effectively implement the established learning strategy in their respective remits.
- Measuring Impact & Continuous Improvement:
- You establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness and impact of learning initiatives.
- You evaluate continuously and refine learning programs based on feedback, performance outcomes, and evolving business needs.
- You report on learning outcomes and ROI, demonstrating alignment with organizational goals.
- Technology-Enabled Learning:
- You leverage the Learning Management System (LMS) to create accessible and centralized learning experiences that integrate various learning pathways.
- You explore and implement AI-driven tools to deliver personalized, just-in-time learning opportunities.
- You follow learning trends and market best practices to provide new ideas in line with Company's needs.
- Cultural Transformation & Change Management:
- You drive the “Own Your Growth” initiative by fostering a mindset of self-directed career development.
- You engage and influence key stakeholders, including senior leaders, to embed learning as a core organizational principle.
- You promote a culture of continuous learning by encouraging managers to take on coaching roles and support employee development.
- You foster and enable Inclusion, Diversity and Equity (IDE) through the learning initiatives and programs.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Development, or a related field.
- A recognized Learning & Development qualification (e.g., CIPD) is desirable.
Experience/Competences:
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant experience, including demonstrated experience in designing and implementing learning solutions within a competency-based organization.
- Expertise in developing and delivering on-the-job learning, coaching, and social learning frameworks.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
- Proven ability to establish and measure KPIs, showcasing the impact of learning initiatives.
- Familiarity with AI-based learning tools and Learning Management Systems (LMS) to enable scalable, personalized learning experiences.
- Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and interpersonal skills, with a strategic mindset focused on business results and continuous improvement.
