RESPONSIBILITIES & MAIN TASKS
• Assist the Machinery Engineers and the Maintenance Team in the management of the Condition Based Program of rotating equipment installed on board SBM FPSOs, such as centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, turbines, blowers, pumps, gearboxes, and motors. This includes but is not limited to:
• Review and monitoring of rotating equipment condition including vibration data, lube oil results by also using other critical operating process data such as pressures, temperatures, flows, loads & efficiencies to determine equipment health.
• Vibration & Oil Analysis Database Management.
• Issue recommendation when required, and assess recommendations from 3rd party, in order to pass the consolidated output to the Offshore crew.
• Input actions in the Computerized Maintenance Management System.
• Follow-up on recommendations execution and effectiveness.
• Perform vibrations analysis on a continuous basis for equipment where a Machinery Monitoring System is installed (i.e., Bently Nevada System 1).
• Set-up of pre-warning and alerts, in order to proactively identify potential concerns and actions to be taken.
• Collaborate with responsible Operations and Maintenance Personnel, Technical Support Team and Region Planners to prioritize repairs of identified equipment deficiencies.
• Provide support during troubleshooting activities, by analyzing the vibration data along with the other machines’ key parameters.
• Provide relevant vibration and oil analysis history and assessment to support root cause analysis efforts.
• Provide guidance to the Technical Support Team and to the System Leads on the machinery conditions during task risk assessment activities and gate reviews (e.g., after major repair activities, life extension evaluation, etc.).
• Identify and justify the purchase of major predictive equipment spare parts.
• Provide technical assistance for the Root Cause Analysis related to ICSS failures and recommend remedial actions.
• Travel to offshore sites when required.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Specific skills / expertise / product:
• Advanced knowledge in the field of Machinery Condition monitoring.
• Experience with Rotating machinery.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in the condition monitoring.
• Minimum ISO 18436-2 Cat III certification.
• Good knowledge of Bently Nevada System 1 or ADRE.
• Rotor dynamic knowledge.
• Oil & Gas Experience – FPSO experience preferred.
• High Level of Safety Awareness and good sense of economics.
• Must be autonomous and with good team spirit.
• Good communication skills in English, both written and spoken.
• Ability to manage several activities in parallel, combined with flexibility and strong organization.
• Offshore survival and medical desirable/required.
• Ability to travel internationally (short term), including offshore.
