  • The Construction Quality Welding Inspector is responsible for ensuring that all welding activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with project specifications, industry codes, and regulations.
  • You monitor welding processes, perform inspections, and ensure the integrity of welded structures on the FPSO throughout the construction process.

Responsibilities

  • You perform detailed inspections of welding processes, including visual and dimensional checks, ensuring compliance with project specifications, welding procedures, and industry standards (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
  • You review and verify welding procedure specifications (WPS), procedure qualification records (PQR), and welder qualifications to ensure that all procedures and personnel are compliant with the project’s requirements and applicable standards.
  • You ensure that welders are properly qualified for the types of welding they are performing, including verifying welder qualification records (WQR) and overseeing testing of welders when required.
