RESPONSIBILITIES

 

1) Management System

  • Promote safety awareness and application of company Management system, COPs, and prime policies.
  • Reportconciselyin accordance with Management System requirements with due regard for document control.
  • Ensure timely and effective closeout of survey and relevant audit actions.
  • Ensure ‘Change Management’ procedures are applied appropriately.
  • Contribute effectively to incident investigation, review, and reporting.

 

2) Personnel

  • Manage the operation of the vessel systems at the department level through supervisors and subordinate staff.
  • Exercise appropriate authority with regard to career development, providing training and support in terms of
  • competence assurance system
  • Ensure probationary and annual appraisals are completed fairly and consistently in a timely manner
  • Manage welfare and disciplinary issues at the departmental level with appropriate reference to OIM and Fleet HR

 

3) Works

  • Efficient operation of unit systems having due regard for Health and safety
  • Ensure full compliance with the PTW system, and Risk assessment and verification
  • Efficiency improvement and pursuance of company goals.

 

4) Contract

  • Manage operations in conjunction with all department heads to maximize efficiency and uptime
  • Maintain effective cost control and promote cost awareness in others
  • Maintain awareness of key issues relating to client and subcontractor relationships
  • Close liaison with client representative ensuring reports and information are produced in a timely and effective manner


5) Emergency Response

  • Manage Emergency Response to limit responsibility with due regard for the safety of personnel, vessel and
  • environment.
  • Demonstrate through exercises and scenarios, knowledge and awareness of emergency response techniques
  • Demonstrate knowledge of the potential impact of incidents and scenarios on vessel safety and security
  • Contribute effectively to the preparation of useful exercises and to postexercise/ incident review and investigation.
  • Carry out EmergencyResponse role

 

 

REQUIREMENTS

 

  • Proven experience and results-oriented career AND/OR HND or Degree equivalents in an appropriate engineering subject.
  • 2 years minimum as Production Superintendent (or Operations Office-based equivalent).
  • Experience and knowledge of hydrocarbon processing systems and utility systems.
  • Supervisory experience in Permit to Work, Mechanical/Electrical Isolation Standards, and Risk Assessment.
  • Medically fit with offshore International standards such as ENG1 or equivalent.
  • Personal Skills:
    • Personal: Conscientious, flexible, versatile, and determined. Capable of assertive and positive communication and performance.
    • Leadership: Exemplary safety and managerial leadership skills. Good levels of written and spoken communication in the English language. A clear understanding of behavioral personnel issues and logistics. Capable of motivating heads of Senior Staff members and Technicians. Flexible in applying different approaches to changing work demands.
    • Technical: Appropriate standard of technical, legal, and professional knowledge as defined by competencies. 
    • IT: Operation of MMS system interface. Practical familiarity with standard ‘Office’ software package. Operation and use of Internet and electronic mail system.
