Purpose
- As Subject Matter Expert on Sustainability (ESG), for your discipline and assigned Projects/Operations Readiness, you are responsible for ensuring prevention and mitigation of risks to our personnel, assets, the environment and our Company reputation, and for ensuring compliance with all standards, rules and other requirements imposed by Company, Regulators, Clients and other relevant Stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- You support the Management in driving the education, communication, and implementation of the ESG management system as part of the execution phase.
- You support SBM Group in developing a robust suite of ESG & Sustainability-related management systems in line with international standards and guidelines for project execution.
- You ensure the collection, analysis, and reporting on ESG & Sustainability topics.
- You are the focal point for your discipline on Social topics, both internally in support of our Turnkey Projects, Operation Readiness, and externally to the clients, contractors, and vendors.
- You complete pre-tender human rights audits of major subcontractors.
- You review potential subcontractor bid technical evaluations for compliance with project social requirements.
- You lead Social assessments/studies in liaison with the Project Manager to ensure the correct integration of such into the project.
- You manage all social initiatives on the project in conjunction with Clients throughout the project execution.
- You contribute to the project progress report concerning all social activities in liaison with Group Sustainability and support emissions data collection for the project.
- You lead the activities related to your discipline to provide effective support to Projects and/or Operation Readiness as necessary.
- You prepare, implement, and update the Social and Emissions aspects of the HSSE Plans/Project Execution Plans.
- You implement and monitor the Social and Emissions aspects management system, plans, and procedures.
- You provide ESG & Sustainability practices and policy training to appropriate site, warehouse, laboratory, and office personnel, ensuring relevant employees and contractors receive appropriate training.
- You may act as a Social Performance/Human Rights SME (Subject Matter Expert) for external stakeholders.
Education
- Master’s Degree in Environment, Sustainability, Engineering, Business or equivalent
Experience
- Experience in HSSE, Social Performance & Sustainability · Project Management skills · Knowledge Compliance and international laws.
- Experience in designing and implementing successful programs, campaigns and initiatives.
