This is a shore based position in which you will coordinate and advise on all technical matters relating to the handover of marine systems on new build Marine Unit(s) and provide direction on all technical matters to Operations Readiness line management.




• Organize, control and provide relevant inter discipline direction to the stakeholders for Marine subsystem handover

• Coordinate technical assistance as directed by the Operations Readiness management 

• Provide input to the Department heads regarding maintenance strategies, healthcare application, asset integrity and general technical queries.

• Participate in the acceptance testing and subsequent on-site installation / commissioning as necessary.

• Assist the OIM in maintaining a continuous technical performance review of the Unit in cooperation with the Operations Engineer, control the corrective actions, when deficiencies are identified, through to the effective close-out of all outstanding actions.

• Support and facilitate the Unit(s) technical audit program for relevant Unit(s) systems, equipment condition and maintenance effectiveness to ensure the integrity of plant and equipment.

• Provide liaison on all relevant discipline matters with certifying authority, and subcontractors, as necessary, to maintain the complete certification for system handover from a technical point of view. Participate and lead actively the development of the relevant technical inspection plans.

• Custodian of the handover tracking work list and play a key role in the planning and execution of sub system handover work.

• Monitor the Management of Change (MOC) procedure compliance for any design changes.

• Ensure necessary Unit Sub System handover (SSHO) progress reporting is in place and monitor the progression.

• Provide, in conjunction with the Operations readiness lead, the relevant technical inputs to specific SSHO execution.

• Monitor follow up and close out of outstanding SSHO elements.

• Participate in technical meetings with Project engineering and Operations as directed by the Operations readiness lead.

• Highlight to the Operations readiness lead and Operations Managers any major deficiencies.






  • Post-secondary degree in similar discipline and/or hold an engineering degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years combined experience in offshore oil and gas marine project engineering, project execution and marine systems operation and maintenance.
  • Proactive, good interpersonal communication skills and strong commitment to a team culture.
  • Ability to supervise, motivate and mentor offshore maintenance team members.
  • Ability to travel internationally short and medium term including offshore.
