Background

  • The Mechanical Supervisor will exhibit leadership, supervisory and safety behaviors and will specifically ensure that all aspects of Mechanical Maintenance are carried out safely. They are responsible for the effectiveness and competence of the mechanical team under its supervision.

Authority

  • The Mechanical Supervisor is authorized to ensure the timely repair and maintenance of mechanical systems and equipments.

Immediate Subordinates

  • Mechanics, visitors, vendor technicians, and sub-contractors.

Pre-hire Qualifications and Experience

  • HNC/HND or equivalent in mechanical Engineering preferred or Chief Engineer Certificate as per STCW Reg AIII/2.
  • A minimum of 5 years offshore experience of which 3 must be at supervisor level.
  • Extensive experience in maintenance of oil pumps, gas compressors (reciprocating and centrifugal), water injection pumps, power generation equipment, machinery space equipment and utility systems.
  • FPSO experience desirable.
  • Fully experienced with PTW and Risk Assessment Techniques.
  • Proficiency in English at a minimum of B2 level according to the CEFR international standard.
  • Medically fit according to The Company GEMS Instruction Health Requirements to Work Offshore.
