Job description for Offshore Planner position
Work Scale: Offshore (14X14) on FPSO
Reports To: Offshore Maintenance Superintendent (hierarchically)
Onshore Planning Lead (functionally)
Background: This position will be responsible for the look ahead and ensuring that all planned and corrective maintenance is effectively scheduled to meet requirements considering the activities in the asset plan and associated vendor requirements. They are the owner of 14 and 28 days look ahead.
Accountable For: Typical Responsibilities & Standards
1) Develop And Maintain Effective Working Relationships
Establish and maintain effective working relationships with colleagues and visitors to the working environment.
Establish and maintain effective communications with colleagues, external visitors and supervisors.
Carry out accurate and effective work handovers.
2) Implementation of Management System
Ensure compliance with applicable IOP planning and CMMS procedure.
Liaise, prepare and update Unit weekly planning and scheduling activities.
Conduct weekly Planning meetings with offshore HOD’s and onshore IOP planner to freeze 14 days look ahead schedule.
Ensure any conflict in respect to SIMOPS, resources and materials are highlighted to the relevant parties.
Ensure in conjunction with all HOD’s that all assurance activities are carried out on the schedule and comply with unit’s verification scheme.
Responsible for reviewing & prioritizing all corrective work requests with the work team to ensure corrective work order priorities are properly assigned.
3) Control of Works
Offshore owner of 14 and 28 days plan lookahead, ensuring that all planned and corrective maintenance is effectively scheduled to meet requirements considering the activities in the asset plan and associated vendor requirements.
Monitor weekly execution progress
When required develop work plans for maintenance jobs with necessary information to allow efficient scheduling, assignment, and execution of maintenance work.
Perform site readiness check and validate the appropriate job work scope with the offshore disciplines and feedback to onshore unit planner.
Monitor Maintenance KPIs and performances, warn support team of any recurring problems related to the maintenance activity back log.
Suggests improvements and requests modifications for planning and for the CMMS and Work Order flow chart.
4) Management of Conditions, Behaviours and Events
Contribute to the continued improvement and implementation of the best practices in the planning discipline.
Review CMMS reporting are done efficiently and correctly. Equally, help with CMMS activities such as correction of Notifications, upload activities report under CMMS, and so on.
Pre-hire Qualifications and Experience
Degree in relevant technical or business discipline or can be substituted by suitable industry experience.
Extensive experience as a maintenance planner or Supervisor in oil and gas upstream industries.
A basic knowledge of the process of oil and gas treatment, installations and a thorough knowledge of the equipment used in oil and gas treatment installations.
Experience in Planning software (primavera P6) and CMMS (IFS) and electronic Permit-to-Work systems.
Proficiency in English at a minimum of B1 level according to the CEFR international standard.
