Digital Development and Innovation (DDI) aims to integrate data management for data-driven decision-making, creating valuable insights for the SBM Offshore organization. Our mission includes fostering automation, enhancing efficiency, and pursuing continuous improvement. There is an ambition to lead the SBM Offshore’s Digital Transformation journey and be a strong and valuable partner to the business.

 

As part of this journey, we are looking for a BI Developer, who will be part of the DDI team. 

 

The Business Intelligence Developer is responsible for:

  • Understanding the role of data in day-to-day business processes
  • Designing and implementing Power BI reports in close collaboration with internal stakeholders which provide insights into business performance, trends, and patterns
  • Developing and maintaining data pipelines and ETLS processes to extract, transform, load and store data
  • Supporting and training our business users in effectively using Power BI reports and data for self-service purposes
  • Managing day-to-day progress of your projects, proactively communicate with your stakeholders and work with experts from various disciplines to get their input or support
  • Stay up to date with the latest advancements in Azure technology and BI best practices

  • Microsoft Power BI development
    • Strong Power Query, DAX skills
    • Strong Semantical modelling (Data Modelling) skills
    • UX/UI best-practice report development
  • Microsoft Azure Data Platform development
    • Data Engineering leveraging Azure Synapse Analytics
    • Data Lakehouse medallion architecture
    • Experience with PySpark/SQL
    • Knowledge of Azure DevOps 

 

 

General Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
  • 2.5+ years of experience in BI development, with a focus on Azure technology
  • Strong proficiency in Power BI and Azure Data Platform
  • Python knowledge a big plus
  • Strong data modeling and data warehousing techniques
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
  • Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with diverse teams
