Purpose
- Ensuring that the IT Service Managemenet solution is available and meets the requirements of our IT and business users.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on matters such as CMDB, Access Managemenet workflows, Change Management, license management, Business Services, and Discovery.
- Have a customer focused mindset, can work in a structured manner and are familiar with working along the lines of ITIL principles
- Establish and enforce quality assurance processes to ensure the reliability, performance, and security of the ITSM solution through comprehensive testing and validation procedures.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization and efficiency gains within the solution lifecycle. Implement best practices, tools, and methodologies to enhance productivity and delivery outcomes.
- Proactively identify and mitigate potential risks and vulnerabilities in software systems, including security threats, data breaches, and compliance issues.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation of the solution configurations and procedures.
- Provide training and support to team members to ensure knowledge transfer and skill development.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including business units and IT teams, to understand their requirements and priorities. Translate business needs into technical solutions and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
- Keep abreast of emerging technologies, frameworks, and methodologies in software development. Evaluate their potential impact on our organization and recommend adoption strategies accordingly.
- Monitor and the solution performance and availability.
- Anticipate the evolution of functionality following new releases, trends and modules, aligned with the SBM Offshore roadmap.
- Be able to create custom made reports and dashboards, and where needed provide ad hoc insights upon demand.
- Be familiar with scripting, screen designs and delivering catalogue items/ record producers and manage the content on the service portal/ employee center, but also in the mobile app
- Steer the delivery of enhancements, manage the execution of the delivery, support the change management process with documentation and be in some cases an active tester or at least coordinate testing activities with functional teams inside the business
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is advantageous.
- Specialized training or certifications in software development methodologies, programming languages, and emerging technologies (e.g., Agile, DevOps, Python, Java) are desirable.
- Proficiency in English (both written and verbal) is required.
Experience
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in managing ITSM solutions.
- Familiarity with development methodologies, including Agile, Scrum, or Kanban, and experience in implementing best practices to optimize team productivity and project outcomes.
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams, including product management, quality assurance, and IT operations, to ensure successful delivery of projects.
- Experience in utilizing software development tools and technologies, such as version control systems (e.g., Git), continuous integration/delivery (CI/CD) pipelines, and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
- Proven experience in troubleshooting and resolving complex technical issues, conducting root cause analysis, and implementing corrective actions to ensure software stability and reliability.
- Commitment to staying updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in software development, and the ability to apply this knowledge to drive innovation and improvement within the organization.
- Possessing some light experience or knowledge in security, OS or network in cloud environment will be added advantage
- Must be able to communicate with colleagues in other countries
- Able to travel overseas when required.
- Preferably you have working experience in a global matrix organization.
- Required to work after office hours or on weekends when necessary.
