As an IT Service Desk employee within SBM you are the first line of escalation to help out the business with resolving technical hardware and software issues. You will research questions using available information, use and manage service desk software, redirect problems to appropriate resources and prepare activity reports. You are the face of IT towards the business and you enjoy the customer service aspect of this position.

 

Furthermore you will:

• Monitor and resolve all incidents and service requests;

• Make changes and updates to end user devices;

• Install packaged software;

• Configure and deploy laptops and workstations;

• Assist in setting up conferences and meetings;

• Contribute to the branding of the IT Service Desk within the company.

 

Job requirements:

SBM Schiedam is looking for candidates with a relevant MBO+ degree or higher educational level and at least 3 years of relevant experience in a similar role. You like the interaction with your internal customers and you gain job satisfaction from being able to support the business on a high quality level.

 

Furthermore you have the following skills and experience:

• Strong social skills and customer focus;

• Experience with different kinds of hardware (Laptops and Cell Phones);

• Experience in working with Windows Active Directory, i.e. create users, add groups to users, resetting passwords etc.;

• Solid understanding of Certified ITIL V4.0; ideally certified

• Extensive Windows 11 knowledge;

• Experience with installing packaged software i.e MS Office suite;

• It is a big plus if you are a Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP) in the Desktop or Applications area;

• A large customer service focus;

• A problem solving attitude;

• Good communication skills in English (both written and verbally). You feel comfortable with writing instructions, answering phone calls and emails or speaking in front of a group.
