Purpose
- The Designer's purpose is to contribute to design reliable, cost-effective, and safe engineering solutions that support the organization's operational and strategic objectives.
Responsibilities
- You are responsible for the selection of methods and procedures, performance of the work, and execution of the design within the scope of the specifications, in compliance with international codes, company and industry standards and regulations.
- You utilize technical knowledge and software tools to depict the design that can be easily and correctly interpreted by others.
- You collaborate with Engineers, other Designers and Lead Designer to share information, ensure design intent is understood, and resolve design conflicts.
- You are responsible for planning and completing activities and deliverables within agreed time frame, as well as for ensuring system interfaces.
- You escalate unresolved issues to the Lead Designer/Engineer to minimize delays in deliverables, understanding how assigned tasks fit within the project schedule and affect other stakeholders in meeting deadlines.
- You ensure applicable lessons learnt are used, understanding the change impact within and across project system boundaries.
- You collaborate with Package Engineers to ensure timely review of vendor documents and that comments are made with the required quality level.
Education
- Associate's or bachelor's degree in Engineering, Design, or related field

- 0 to 5 years in any industry
