Job Description - Preservation Specialist:
Strengthen the preservation organization within the company. The Preservation specialist will serve as the authority and Subject Matter Expert (SME) on preservation within the company and will define and optimize processes to be used on the company’s EPC projects. In this role the preservation specialist will:
Optimize and improve the company’s preservation processes (Preservation Working Procedure), roles and responsibilities, and interfaces.
Define preservation documentation requirements (vendor packages), Project Preservation Specification (RFQ/PO) and FPSO (General) Project Preservation Plan.
Define the project preservation register requirements.
Act as technical authority for company’s preservation activities.
Liaise with Project Preservation Lead(s) during development of project preservation specification and plan to ensure suitable standards.
Support Projects as required and process technical queries related to preservation.
Clarify vendor preservation documentation requirements and quality inspections.
Define construction yard preservation requirements, scope, organization, manpower and quality system.
Organize workshops within the company, with suppliers or with yards to clarify the preservation ITR and inspections.
Coordinate with PMO Director and Quality Director on the preservation aspects to be applied within the company.
Conduct preservation audits (at vendors’ premises and construction sites) and health checks, perform surveillances, and report any lack of preservation or bad practices in storage and handling of materials during construction.
Perform root cause analysis on identified issues and develop standard documents and procedures to prevent future occurrences. Align projects approach to preservation internal issues and those with vendor and construction
Job requirements
School/studies/degree:
- Bachelor’s degree (BAC+ 10), preferably in engineering discipline
- Specialization in preservation preferred
Experience:
- Minimum 10-year experiences in Oil and Gas industry, preferably with offshore projects.
- Demonstrable performance within the field of preservation, on large EPCI projects
- Proven track record in working within EPC project teams
- Construction yard and Supplier experience
