Project E&S Engineer

Purpose
- The E &S Engineer, is a key role within SBM Projects execution worldwide, Responsible for ensuring adherence to global E &S requirements.
- The E &S Engineer will lead, provide support and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams including Group Functions, Operations, Construction, Commissioning Managers, and external partners to ensure seamless integration and implementation of E &S standards.
Responsibilities
- You serve as the Deputy to the E &S Manager, supporting the overall E &S management efforts within the project.
- You ensure consistent implementation and interpretation of applicable regulations, with particular emphasis on harmonization across the projects.
- You produce and manage FPSO E &S documents, including management plans, reports, and other key documentation.
- You control tasks on SBM’s Action Tracker and assist the project team in expediting any late tasks to ensure timely completion.
- You carry out audits of E &S plans across locations and PMT activities to verify compliance with E &S standards.
- You review NCR (Non-Conformance Report) evidences related to E &S, issue corrective actions or nonconformity reports, and facilitate the closure of these issues.
- You manage the interface with the Finance team, ensuring alignment on E &S-related financial matters.
- You act as the focal point for E &S queries, providing guidance and support as needed.
- You inform project personnel of their E &S responsibilities, ensuring full awareness and compliance within the team.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Law, Business Administration, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- A Master's degree or professional certification in Environmental & Socioeconomics (e.g., Certified E&S Manager) is preferred.
Experience
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in Environmental & Socioeconomics, with a focus on global standards and multi-national operations.
- Proven experience with E&S subjects in complex projects.
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams and understanding of the relationships with external regulatory bodies.
