As Project Information Engineer (Engineering Data) you will be assigned to large and complex projects to manage the entire asset information and data flow during all different EPC stages in the project. The Project Information Engineer (Engineering Data) is responsible for the planning, execution, and closeout of the engineering data work for a project or proposal. As the Project Information Engineer (Engineering Data), you will be responsible for the engineering data quality, integrity and consistency across the various engineering applications. You work across all engineering disciplines to ensure the engineering data are completed on time, on quality and in accordance with all safety and regulatory requirements. As the Project Information Engineer (Engineering Data), you ensure the engineering data meet the project, Client and internal requirements. You will be reporting to the Project Information Manager on the project.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Develop the Project Engineering Data Management Plan, as per internal standard requirements, by understanding and evaluating the project requirements.
  • Ensure project team is fully aware of Client, Project and Internal requirements and the Project Engineering Data Management Plan.
  • Communicate and promote the Project Engineering Data Management Plan scope, strategy and execution roadmap constraints and ways of working to the engineering team.
  • Set team standards for data quality and deliver data that meets project needs, Client standards, internal standards and industry regulations.
  • Coordinate with Discipline Leads and Discipline Managers to forecast resource needs (staffing, tools, software, etc.) and completion dates for engineering data.
  • Partner with Discipline Managers to ensure adequate number of qualified staff are assigned to the project to meet quality, budget, and schedule requirements per the project contract; ensure each team member understands his/her role and responsibilities for the Project Engineering Data Management Plan.
  • Coordinate with Digital Solution Specialist on hardware/software issue resolutions.
  • Partner with the Project Information Engineer (Information Management), to ensure full integration of engineering data into the overall project information.
  • Interpret reports for ingested data consistency, compliance & completeness.
  • On a regular basis, monitor and report data progress status.
  • Liaise with other project functions and the client to ensure quality of the delivered data.
  • Manage the hand-over to the client of competed project information & documentation in accordance with the agreed procedures.
  • At project completion stage, assist in preparation of close-out report on information management activities including initiating improvement on SBM standards & methodology.

 

REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in any Engineering.
  • Good understanding of engineering application AVEVA Engineering, AVEVA Diagram, AVEVA E3D, SmartPlant Instrumentation systems/tools.
  • Knowledge & work experience in system engineering related scope in medium or large Oil & Gas EPC projects.
  • Exposure and or work experience in handling system engineering design applications & tools; will be another further added advantage.
  • Knowledge in data visualization tool such as Power BI will be another further added advantage.

  • Project Oriented mindset - Strong understanding of the EPC project lifecycle, from FEED (Front-End Engineering Design) through detailed design, procurement, and construction, to commissioning and handover.
  • Proficiency in handling large datasets related to multiple engineering disciplines
  • Focus on meeting project milestones and ensuring that data workflows support the timely delivery of project phases
  • Constantly looking for ways to improve engineering data management processes, exploring automation in data workflows, or adopting new technologies that can enhance data quality and reduce errors in projects.
  • You are good in decision making, and you hold yourselves and others accountable to meet commitments
  • You are a good communicator & collaborator who can clearly express expectations and work with other stakeholders
