Purpose

  • As a Quality Excellence Manager reporting to the Global Quality Manager, you are responsible for overseeing and providing quality assurance support in yard and supplier qualification activities, ensuring the effective execution of internal and external audits, offering crucial inputs for project tenders and early proposal stages, and independently supporting critical quality investigations.
  • You are crucial in driving continuous improvement within the department, with a particular emphasis on enhancing GEMS compliance, while also actively contributing to broader organizational initiatives.
  • Additionally you require to effectively integrate and provide quality assurance insights as part of performance monitoring.
  • You are essential in promoting quality excellence and fostering a culture of continuous improvement across the organization.

Responsibilities

  • You ensure the timely review of quality assurance documentation for supplier and yard qualifications, meeting required standards and accuracy, and provide strategic feedback to improve documentation processes.
  • You manage internal, certification, and qualification audits within GRS, overseeing audit documentation, coordinating with auditees and auditors, and ensuring completion of reports and corrective actions.
  • You monitor audit status and findings to ensure timely completion.
  • You identify and lead continuous improvement initiatives within the department to enhance performance and efficiency.
  • You define KPIs for excellence activities to analyze performance and drive efficiency.
  • You support improvement initiatives across the organization, aligning departmental goals with broader objectives.
  • You lead efforts to ensure GEMS compliance and drive enhancement activities, aligning with organizational needs.
  • You manage and lead independent quality investigations outside of project activities, ensuring thorough analysis and resolution.
  • You report key findings, issues, and recommendations to senior management and stakeholders, providing insights for decision-making.
  • You ensure quality assurance requirements are integrated into tenders and proposals and oversee the review of related documentation for accuracy and completeness.
  • You promote a culture of quality excellence and continuous improvement throughout the organization, facilitating cross-departmental collaboration to address quality issues and drive improvements.
  • You oversee the development and delivery of awareness/training programs on quality processes and procedures.

Education

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in engineering, science, or a related quality discipline, with a focus on quality management or relevant field.
  • Certified ISO 9001 Lead Auditor or equivalent standard, demonstrating proficiency in auditing quality management systems.

Experience

  • 10-15 years of experience in the Oil and Gas industry, including 7+ years in senior roles with managerial responsibilities. Strong background in Project Management, Engineering principles, lifecycle processes, and construction, including fabrication and special processes.
  • Expertise in Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO) and a comprehensive understanding of quality management principles, methodologies, and best practices for large-scale projects.
  • Proficient in quality investigation tools, including non-conformance handling, root cause analysis, FMEA, and CAPA.
  • Strong knowledge of welding, coating, NDT, preservation, and explosive atmospheres (Ex), with relevant certifications as a plus.
